I remember when . . .
After JFK’s assassination in 1963 I remember feeling a real sense of loss. The last lines from the title song from the musical Camelot kept replaying in my heart:
“Don’t let it be forgot
That once there was a spot
For one brief shining moment that was known
As Camelot.”
That’s how I had felt at the time about Kennedy’s presidency.
Now, once again, that refrain is surfacing in my thoughts, but with a much deeper and heavier sense of loss. The light that this nation has been to the world is flickering and in real danger of being extinguished.
In the past, there was always a set of facts that we could all see and pretty much agree on, discuss, and debate, and arrive at our own conclusions of the best course of action. We could disagree, but without being filled with hate for the opposing side. (Or at least that’s the way it seemed.)
But now, we aren’t even looking at the same set of facts! How could we ever agree! There can be no dialogue! Those whose only source of news is the mainstream network news only hear a carefully crafted narrative designed to funnel hearers to a certain conclusion. And as if that’s not enough, they tell the hearer explicitly what they are to believe is true and what is false─leaving nothing to chance! (And how ‘deplorable’ and dangerous the other side is!)
“Freedom of opinion is a farce unless factual information is guaranteed and the facts themselves are not in dispute.”
—Hannah Arendt, Truth and Politics
While we were “sleeping” . . .
The forces at work in our nation today (and in the world) didn’t arrive overnight. While we were busy enjoying the benefits and prosperity of this beautiful country, there were other, unseen forces at work─even long before that JFK assassination─slowly eating away and eroding foundations. These forces, now fully showing their sinister intent, have gained sufficient momentum for their final stages of conquest. (Evil has always been there, ready to fill any vacuum, testing the limits.)
“The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference, and undernourishment.” – Robert Hutchins, American educational philosopher.
Where is it taking us?
When you flood this country with masses of people (most of whom don’t speak the language or have any skills, throw in a good number who have ill intent), spend the country into bankruptcy, destroy national identity, cause the destruction of the middle class, weaponize the government against opponents (and use massive corporations and banking to assist), cause division and civil unrest, and censor and shut down any resistance, then you are intentionally causing the deliberate destruction of America!
But why? Perhaps some are misguided. Some have been blackmailed or intimidated. But the overriding motive is greed or lust for control—and there’s plenty of both! After the collapse of the U.S., the fall of the West will easily be next, followed by the rest of the world, with the ultimate goal being global Marxism.
When people are not interested in politics and ignore their rights, democracy does not exist anymore, and totalitarianism takes its place.
Who or what is behind it?
As best I can determine, it appears that it’s a combination of global elitists (i.e. Schwab, Soros, Gates, Zuckerberg, and Bezos), perhaps others from the World Economic Forum and other like-minded individuals, elements of the ‘deep state’ (which has its corollary worldwide), and also China (or rather the CCP).
(Actually, and most importantly, I fear what we are witnessing is the inevitable outworking of having pushed God out of our public and private lives.)
